Several years ago the widow of Canon Washington, who used to worship at St Andrew’s, sent money for a memorial for him and the PCC thought that reopening the Quatrefoil was appropriate and Mrs Washington agreed. The Quatrefoil is above the stained glass window on the south wall of the Sanctuary and was blown out by bomb blast during WW2 and was just bricked up at the time.
The work, undertaken by John Corley, has now been completed.
