Are you aged 6-16? Do you enjoy singing? Want to have fun and learn a bit about music?
Then why not join our Junior Choir?
We meet at St Andrew’s Church on Wednesdays from 6pm to 6.30pm for a practice and on the first Sunday of the month at 10 o’clock to sing in the Mass.
It is useful to be able to read fairly confidently.
Why not come along one Wednesday and try us out or contact Mrs Jo Woodhead: email@example.com
It was a big week in December 2018 for our young choristers as they all moved to the next stage of the Voice for Life training scheme run by the Royal School of Church Music. Meena and Charley were awarded Dark Blue ribbons, Anna and Ellen earned their Light Blues and Leilah received a certificate for completing the White level. Meena has also been officially appointed as our new Head Chorister. Congratulations, everyone!
Charley won’t be with us much from now on as he is becoming a chorister at St Paul’s Cathedral – look at what being in St Andrew’s choir can lead to!
The New Year would be a great time for any young person who enjoys singing (and can read comfortably) to come and join us. Contact Jo on firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
At the Festival Mass on Sunday July 2nd, four of our choristers received awards from the Royal School of Church Music ‘Voice for Life’ scheme.
Katie, Emilia, Meena and Charley all received Light Blue ribbons.
Emilia was also officially made Team Leader and Katie, Head Chorister. Congratulations to you all!
